Initially starting off as Clearing and Earthmoving contractors (Earth Tranz Limited) back in 1993 we required an outlet for our oversize cleared product and from that Avondale Firewood was born, initially setting up premises in at the old Avondale Train Station with 1 Loader 1 manual Splitter  a 2 ton delivery truck and a couple of chainsaws.

Times changed, and we moved the location to Albany in 2002 and we have been on the same site ever since however today we have become a supplier to the Auckland and Rodney markets both as a retailer and NZ Wide as a wholesaler. We do our utmost to provide the best wood, at a competitive price with a pain-free ordering and delivery service.

The procurement service

We strive to get the best available mix of woods from local Saw millers, Forestry Industry, and Arborists.

Processing

We just don’t process for our selves we also process for others, talk to our team about your processing requirements from raw log format to processing your own rings  (min quantity 50 tons or 100M3 ) thrown measure We process North Island Wide.

Delivery

We strive to achieve an efficient delivery service within a 30km radius of our Albany Facility for all free domestic deliveries

Our Domestic Delivery trucks are 2.2 meters wide making it easy to access most driveways and carry up to 9m3 per load

Our Commercial Units are by Truck and Trailer and are the mainstream of our wholesale operation being able to carry 60 m3 per delivery. Please ask our sales team and see if wholesale is the right choice for you we supply retailers and clubs who use firewood as a source of generating revenue.

Manufacturing

Over the years we have looked at every processor known in the commercial marketplace and have chosen to only purchase highly efficient equipment made by Earthquip Group Auckland who in our opinion make the best units for New Zealand and Australian Hardwoods. We currently test all new models and modification to units ensuring the best product

Firewood Deliveries

We offer delivery Auckland wide with a minimum delivery of 2 cubic meters. Our delivery trucks can hold up to 9 cubic meters. Our Facility is based in Albany Auckland Delivery Region is within 30km of our Facility and is FREE.
